During my time with SMC and Ferris I was responsible for a myriad of design projects. These included branding strategies, monthly publications, billboards, logo, apparel, posters, flyers, digital ads, photojournalism, and numerous other design projects. Here are some examples of my work:
SMC Roadrunners:
I spearheaded the rebranding of the Southwestern Michigan College mascot, the Roadrunner. My designs were instrumental in revitalizing the Roadrunner to become a major part of the college once again. This achievement was highlighted through various apparel, events, and my design being cemented outside of the Student Activity Center. The college even invested in a new mascot costume that closely resembles my version of the Roadrunner, further solidifying the success of my branding efforts.
Cemented Design
Southwestern Michigan College cemented my Roadrunner design outside of the Student Activity Center. The Roadrunner is cut into the sidewalk immediately in front of the Roadrunner Trails. It was a great honor that the college decided to immortalize the Roadrunner in 6ft of cement and was a huge milestone of my career.
The Nation Station
The Nation Station is a glass case that displays items that can be purchased with “Roadrunner Bucks”. Roadrunner Buck is a currency that rewards students who are part of the Roadrunner Nation for attending various student functions or participating in community events like Steve’s Run. I worked closely with the Student Activity Center Coordinator to transform a plain glass case into the Roadrunner.
Ferris Billboards:
These billboards promoted the partnership that Southwestern Michigan College has with Ferris State University and were customized to focus on the target demographic.
Ferris @ SMC Poster:
These posters were printed on 11 x 17 glossy poster paper to promote the partnership that Southwestern Michigan College has with Ferris State University.
A Monthly Publication: The Toilet Paper:
One of my main responsibilities during my time with SMC/Ferris was to design and distribute a monthly publication. I had to coordinate with my Marketing team to ensure that we would always meet our deadline. This was one of the many great experience that I had during my time that instilled the importance of working on multiple projects under strict deadlines while coordinating with a team.
